Gapbot is an application, built for GAP’s e-commerce studios in San Francisco, which combines session creation and shot tracking by importing a CSV from a FileMaker database.
The app replaced looking up shots up by their barcode in a thick printout of the week’s shots and automates reconciling the shot count at the end of the day. By matching shots in the shotlist with files in the Capture One session Gapbot both tracked shot status but could confirm that files were named correctly and shot in the right format.
As the workflow in the studio changed Gapbot was updated with new capabilities, including adding pickup shots and tracking video assets.
